a day at the henry ford

happy spring! i hope everyone had a nice weekend. it was a bit too cold here to truly celebrate the first day of spring but we were able to squeeze in a bunch of fun anyway. on saturday we spent a few hours at the henry ford museum. we went early enough that it wasn’t too busy and annabelle and her cousin were able to run around and really get out a lot of energy! we saw trains, cars, planes, and even the weinermobile! and annabelle ate her first hot dog {don’t worry, we cut it into strips and watched her the whole time}. yesterday we went to costco, dyed easter eggs {more on that tomorrow} and met the sweetest baby. excited for a short week {i’m off friday} and easter this weekend!

we had a house showing on saturday morning and as annabelle and i were getting ready to walk down the stairs with too many things in our hands i spilled an entire cup of coffee down the carpeted stairs. luckily we just bought a new carpet cleaner and annabelle loves watching it in action but it was such a mess! our entryway still smells like french vanilla creamer.

and one more thing, i feel like i hit an exciting mom milestone in that i traded my diaper bag for a backpack! ken was skeptical but it ended up working out really great when i used it for the first time this weekend. this backpack is big enough that i can hold a few diapers, wipes and snacks for annabelle plus my wallet and numerous lipsticks. plus i just love the way it looks!
