how to style a suit four ways {part one}

Be honest, did you think Olivia Pope was guest posting today or did you know it was me? 😉 Today my inner girl boss is coming out in a big way. I don’t think I’ve worn a suit since I was interviewing after college {so it’s just been a few years really}. Back then I struggled to make it look anything but boxy and bland but I’m all grown up and completely head over heels for this blush suit from Baukjen.

I’m so in love with it that I decided to issue myself a little style challenge. Since wearing a suit to the office is of limited use I wanted to make sure these pieces could go the distance. Because sharing four outfits seemed overwhelming I’m breaking it into two posts. Today I’ll show you how you can wear these pieces for more formal events like a client meeting, a shower, or dinner out.

When the blazer, cigarette pant, and top that make up my new obsession are worn together you are ready to conquer the world. Whether it’s an interview, a meeting with your most important client, or a working lunch you’ll look impossibly polished. If you’re planning to ask for a raise you should probably do it wearing this.

Now it’s time for drinks with the girls or your best friends baby shower. When the pants are paired with a peplum top and monochromatic heels you look fun and fresh. Adding an animal print clutch makes the look extra playful and flirty.

Next week I’ll share two more casual looks and you’ll have to let me know which is you’re favorite!
