valentine’s day date

ken and i took a bit of an unconventional and literal approach to the typical valentine’s day date and went out during the day, the day before valentine’s day. i know, we’re such rule breakers. my parents were nice enough to watch annabelle for a few hours so we went downtown to townhouse. we definitely enjoyed a few drinks and were able to take a few pictures with my new clutch. you know, just a typical date. if you haven’t been to townhouse yet, it’s a must go. the vibe is cool, the drinks are delicious {i got the heart to heart} and the greenhouse is stunning. afterward we stopped at westborn market and grabbed a few groceries, went home and enjoyed a baby-free home cooked meal of lamb chops and roasted carrots. i hope you had a lovely valentine’s day {or day before} as well!

let’s talk for a minute about this clutch because i have so much to say. the color is beautiful. i tend to like a pop of color or print in a clutch and this beautiful navy does not disappoint. as you can see i’m wearing it with black and it’s just so good. with everything. but beyond it’s beauty it is so functional. it has the signature phone pocket on the back so you’re not constantly opening your bag all night just to check your phone. it has quite a few pockets, including one that’s zippered for your most valuable items and it unfolds to open a larger pocket which for me on saturday held my gloves {thank you 10 degrees, michigan}. it also comes in classic black and saddle and the most stunning red {vermillion} that i have my eye on.

Townhouse is gorgeous. Love the decor – especially in the green room. Glad you guys had a good time together baby-free!
