Can you believe we’ve made it to day three of our Florida photos? I know, me either. Soak it up because we’re almost to our last day – but not yet!
Our third day of vacation was particularly notable because it was Annabelle’s first time in the ocean. It was truly a roller-coaster of emotions, starting with fear and trepidation and luckily ending with pure joy and a love for the water. Read on!
My love for rashgaurds knows no bounds.
Heading out and trying to calm her nerves.
At this point daddy took over because he’s the best at making his girl feel safe.
Her face is just priceless.
Toes in the sand!
Feeling slightly more confident but still holding on for dear life, I can assure you.
Before we left her Papa told her what a fun activity picking up shells is, so she collected them all for him.
A few days ago I mentioned that one of the best things about staying at the Seagate Hotel was access to their private beach club. The club is located right on the ocean and has a restaurant and bar, a pool, and direct access to their private beach {with all the necessities like lounge chairs, towels, etc.}. And even better they will shuttle you from the hotel to the beach club {which is about a mile away} any time you want. It truly was a game changer for us.
At this point she’s telling me that she never wants to go in the ocean again and will be a pool girl for life.
Ok, it’s going to look like Annabelle had a wardrobe change but let me walk you through what happened next. When you have a toddler who still naps that time is a very important part of your day. So after our tumultuous first experience in the ocean followed by joyful swimming and lunch we went back to the hotel {on the shuttle!} and took a nap. The good news is, Annabelle woke up with a new outlook on life and what happened next really shocked everyone.
First, a little warm up in the pool with daddy.
Next, beach round two.
I know this is mostly about Annabelle but remind me to tell you about my “cover up.”
This one is getting framed and also belongs on a sunscreen bottle somewhere. Love!
She’s standing in the ocean, people!
Now she’s jumping in the ocean! It’s happening!
And there were waves! That she happily played in.
Oh and a little credit to me who’s the one taking these photos. Good job, mama! 😉
This is my favorite one piece for both of us. Annabelle’s and mine.
We kept talking about making a sandcastle but had no supplies. Then we came across this one and I almost was going to tell you that we made it but another really talented family did so let’s give them the credit they deserve.
We buried her feet which she thought was hilarious.
Ok, my cover up! For some reason I always struggle to find bathing suit cover ups. I either don’t like the style or I don’t want to pay $50 for something that I don’t wear very often. I recently got this top from Chicwish and not only is it less expensive than most cover ups I’ve come across – it’s a top! So I can wear it with jeans or jean shorts all spring and summer and then also throw it in my beach bag when the occasion arises. I feel like this is a pretty genius move on my part. Plus, it’s super cute.
I just realized I should have probably broken this into two posts but if you’re still reading I just have a few more!
Miss Daisy, on her way to dinner.
At one point she looked down and said, mama we have matching toes showing!
Wearing my new favorite pants! Ya’ll know I am not a huge fan of pants {I realize how that sounds} and these are the most flattering pair I’ve ever worn. EVER! They are perfect for the office but also perfect for casual family stuff too. I got two pairs and I can’t wait to show you the other one. You’re going to love them. I actually wore them to the office when we had a client in a few weeks ago and got tons of compliments, which is always a good indication of how great something is.
Pippa & Indy killing it per usual in the hair accessory department.
And that’s it! We survived our third day in Florida and so did you. I hope you have the best weekend, we’re celebrating my grandmas birthday so hopefully ours includes cake!
