my week in five

A series documenting five things from my week.

1.What I ate: We kicked our new year healthy eating into high gear this week. I feel like all I’ve been eating are eggs and chicken breasts but it feels good to be back in the zone.

2.What I wore: When the temperature hit 40 this week and it was mostly dry I knew it was the perfect time to wear my new mules. In addition to being adorable and super budget friendly they are extremely comfortable. I can’t wait to wear them throughout the spring and summer.

3.What I tried: With healthy eating comes a new workout plan. Ken is doing the dudes version of this plan and lovingly challenged me to follow the ladies program for three months. Week one is almost down {I still have to get a workout in this weekend} and I’m feeling great! I’m going to plan on doing a check in around the 30 day mark to share my progress.

4.What I learned: I read a tip for keeping a toddler busy for more than a minute and it’s been a lifesaver at dinner this week. After dinner give your child a clementine and let them peel it. Typically Annabelle finishes eating before us and wants to hurry us along so we can play. But now she’s so intently focused on peeling her treat we can finish eating in peace and she feels very independent and gets a delicious and healthy dessert!

5.Find of the Week: I’m always looking for fun drugstore makeup and this Revlon Kiss Balm did not disappoint. It comes in tons of bright colors, is very moisturizing, and smells delicious.
