As a wise woman once said, “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22.” – Taylor Swift. Sorry, had to. Well, we’re officially past the halfway point because even if this pregnancy goes to 42 weeks {dear lord, please don’t let that happen} we’d only have 20 weeks to go. I’d call that progress. I’m so excited for spring I can’t stand it even though I know once the weather starts getting warmer the rest of my pregnancy is just going to fly by so I’m trying to appreciate each week as it comes. Annabelle is at the absolute best age right now and while I’m not sad to have to share my time with her soon I do want to soak up all of the final moments just us girls {plus Ken, of course}. She just feels like my little best friend lately and I couldn’t love her more.
Here’s a little update on my pregnancy.
How far along are you? 22 weeks, 1 day
So that makes your due date? June 24th!
How much weight have you gained? I’m at a solid 135 {14 lbs. gained} which I’m trying not to freak out about. I realize gaining weight is a totally normal part of pregnancy and is to be expected but it’s still hard to see the scale creeping up more and more each week. Maybe I should start weighing myself less often? I gained 40 lbs. with Annabelle so I shouldn’t be entirely surprised and I’m actually probably in a better {lower?} place at the same point in this pregnancy. Just talking myself off the ledge over here.
Any cravings? Ice cream sandwiches {see weight gain comments above}, salads, green beans, minestrone soup, spaghetti with meat sauce, and girl scout cookies {although those don’t seem like a craving so much as just having girl scout cookies in the house and wanting to eat all of them but everyone feels that way, right?}.
What about symptoms? I’m pretty nauseous as I’m writing this and have been since yesterday. Why oh why won’t that go away? I’ve also been getting nose bleeds here and there which I got with Annabelle so thankfully I knew not to freak out.
Will you find out the gender? Nope! We didn’t find out with Annabelle and we’re excited to be surprised again. I did have a dream last week that we had a boy with dark curly hair so maybe that’s a sign?
Do you have names picked out? No but there are definitely a few that I’m starting to love more than others. I’m going to keep them a secret until this baby is on the outside though and then hopefully pressure Ken into one of my favorites!
Are you wearing maternity clothes? Definitely. Cleaning out my closet has become a weekly ritual where I take anything out that no longer fits {Annabelle loves the part where I try on really random things while she asks, are you wearing that?!} and move it into our spare closet so I know what I have to work with when I’m getting ready each day.
Any purchases for the baby yet? I bought this onesie last week {I have this thing with pears} and my mom bought us this lounger which I’m really excited to try. I also want to get a bassinet attachment for our stroller – I think it will be perfect for all of the walks we’ll be taking this summer!
You look amazing!!
Thanks so much, Amy! xo
