one of the best things about living in michigan is that we get to experience all four seasons, even if sometimes the timing of them gets confused đ
part of the fun of the seasons for me is having traditions and rituals that are associated with each one. in the fall one of our favorite things to do is go to different cider mills around our area. when it’s a nice day they’re jam packed with fellow michiganders trying to make the most of the beautiful weather and last weekend at the franklin cider mill was no exception. we were responsible for bringing the cider to a halloween party {to make cider and captian morgan cocktails, naturally} so we just had enough time to grab the cider and a couple slushies for a special treat before we had to put on our costumes. and as you’ll see in the photos, annabelle learned the word scarecrow!
i’ve gotten a lot of questions about my new flats after posting them on instagram a couple times last week. they’re by starch slides and i think they are just about the cutest thing ever! starch slides takes used mens shirts and turns them into women’s shoes – come on! one shirt can make four pairs of shoes so every pair is {almost} one of a kind. i’m wearing the spektor which are now sold out but it’s almost impossible to find a pair that you don’t fall in love with instantly.
