As I’m sure you already know, Ken and I have two kids. There’s Annabelle, who’s smart, funny, and human. And then there’s Juneau, our first born. Juneau is the prettiest husky in all the land and before Annabelle was born she got all the attention. Every time we took her for a walk people would stop us and comment on how pretty she was, point out her different colored eyes, and give her a sweet scratch or two. She was the bell of the ball.
Since Annabelle has come along Juneau doesn’t get quite as much attention as she once did, unless you count Annabelle trying to cover her up with a blanket or trace her paw with a crayon. Juneau’s health and wellness has always been a priority so to help kickoff a healthier new year for all of us, we recently tried Freshpet as a replacement for Juneau’s dry food. Though it’s true that Juneau has never met a meal she doesn’t like, I think she’s quickly becoming spoiled with Freshpet’s all natural food made with fresh ingredients.
We’ll call them frenimies.
Freshpet never uses artificial or chemical preservatives, or any mysterious ingredients like chicken meal. To be honest if I didn’t know it was dog food I might have added it to my salad for lunch.
I know that there are people that prepare food for their pets everyday but with our busy schedule that’s just not possible. Freshpet is just like a home cooked meal you’d make for your pet, without the time commitment. It’s such a nice option if you want to treat your pet to a super healthy meal in a convenient way.
Waiting patiently.
Mom, mom, mom. Is that for me?
This girl loves her new food. It was no problem at all incorporating it into her diet and she has been known to get an upset tummy when we switch up her food. Last night when Ken fed her he put a few pieces of her regular kibble in the bowl first {out of habit} so we just added the Freshpet on top. A few hours later I walked past her bowl and the kibble was still there, untouched. I don’t even know how she navigated around that but I’m already placing our next Freshpet order because I don’t want to know what happens when we run out.
What type of food do you feed your pet? I’d love to hear!
