a holiday shift

do you get dressed up for christmas eve? in my family it’s always been customary that christmas eve we dress up and then christmas day is more casual. for me christmas day almost always involves me wearing something new that i opened that morning because i have zero patience and cannot wait to wear all of my presents!

ken and i have carried on the tradition of a more formal christmas eve by hosting a dinner for our families at our house. that way we’re able to see everyone regardless of who we’re spending christmas day with {we trade off every year} and i love that everyone is nicely dressed but cozy in our home, enjoying each other’s company in front of the fire.

this dress would be perfect for your fanciest, most festive christmas eve party. i love the color and the shape, a shift dress is always so flattering and comfortable and can pair well with lots of different shoe options. i styled it with over the knee boots here but i’d also love it with a heel. plus the pearl detail on the color really pulls it all together.
