winter style

Winter White

One of my favorite tips for when I feel like I have nothing to wear, or I'm in a hurry, or I really just don't have the mental capacity to put together an outfit but I still want to look fly is wearing all the same color.

pumped up kicks {the best golden goose dupes}

If you follow any other bloggers or fashion influencers you are probably familiar with Golden Goose sneakers. They're super popular right now - definitely a trendier look and they're very pricey at about $500/pair. I mean honestly, who is spending that kind of money on sneakers?  [show_shopthepost_widget id="3019484"]

flower child

As we inch, crawl, and squeak our way closer to spring I've found myself getting into 70's vibes. I always appreciate incorporating the latest trends into my wardrobe and when I came across this cardigan a few weeks ago it just spoke to me. As I've said numerous times before, I'm making it a point during this pregnancy to invest in fun non-maternity wardrobe pieces like coats, jackets, and even capes. Please add cardigans to the list!  [show_shopthepost_widget id="3017884"]

groundhog day

You might think the title of this post is in honor of our dear friend Punxsutawney Phil on his most notable day of the year.

why I’m buying all the coats

Perhaps it's become somewhat obvious as of late but if there's one thing I'm investing in this winter it's coats. While I can blame many things on pregnancy brain my new found coat obsession is not one of them. There's actually a strategy behind my purchases and I'm going to share it with you today. how to wear a cape blazer + 19 week update

I suppose this post is less of a 'how to' and more of a 'I did it and so can you'. I've been admiring the cape trend for some time and since it's one of the few items I could still order in my pre-pregnancy size I figured now was the perfect time to try it.  [show_shopthepost_widget id="3008644"]

check me out

As this pregnancy progresses I'm remembering that there are really only so many ways to dress a bump. In an attempt to streamline my wardrobe I've been attempting to come up with a few uniforms or formulas for creating an outfit. One of my favorites is definitely a bodycon dress paired with a cardigan or a blazer. [show_shopthepost_widget id="2995815"]

wear your heart on your sleeve

Valentine's Day has always been one of my favorite holidays for various reasons at different points in my life. For years I wished for the perfect valentine, someone who would buy me roses, take me out to a fancy restaurant, and give me the perfect reason to buy a red dress. In reality, that perfect Valentine's Day has never really happened but luckily I ended up with the two best Valentine's a gal could ask for.  [show_shopthepost_widget id="2986209"]

wrap me up

I haven't exactly been in a fashion rut lately but I haven't been very adventurous either. As I'm sure I've told you, I've had some version of morning sickness lingering since October {it got bad there most of November and December, friends} and I basically live in the north pole so those things combined have manifested as many outfits made up of leggings, sweaters, and flats. Who am I?  [show_shopthepost_widget id="2982891"]

winter in detroit

I know that no one wants to hear me talk about the weather but seriously, it is so cold. I feel like someday I'll tell my grand kids about how cold it was in the winter of 2018. And they'll roll their eyes and think I'm exaggerating but I'm won't be because, cold.  [show_shopthepost_widget id="2981192"]
