dancing in the streets

I’m not sure what it is about being able to do something that is normally against the rules that is so appealing to a toddler, but Friday nights in Royal Oak are making all of Annabelle’s law breaking dreams come true.

For the past few weeks the city near us has closed about a mile of it’s main street {aptly named Main Street} to encourage exploration of local businesses, restaurants and bars. Combined with the weather it’s been such a fun way for our family to spend a Friday night. We love going to B Spot Burgers for dinner {get the bologna, it’s so good!} and then after working off some energy literally running and dancing through the street we swing by Astoria Pastry Shop and grab some treats to enjoy at home before bedtime.

While we were out I received so many compliments on this dress. Can you believe it’s only $17? It comes in three colors but the orange is my favorite. I’ve actually seen the exact same dress at a few places and it’s at least double the price!

I love how cute and affordable H&M is for kids clothes. I absolutely could not resist this ruffle top {on sale for $4!} and strawberry leggings {under $5!} for my sweet girl.

What fun things do you like to do with your family? I’d love to hear!
