Happy Friday, friends! Today I’m kicking off a new series called Fashion Friday. Each week I’ll round up my favorite items from a particular trend to share with you. First up, the one-shoulder cut.
I used to be a huge fan of the one-shoulder trend but in recent years it had taken a back seat to it’s more extreme relative, off-the-shoulder. I’ve been seeing {and buying!} so many one-shoulder options lately that I wanted to round up a few of my favorites. The verdict is still out on if this trend is appropriate to wear to work – I have a general rule of not wearing strapless bras to the office so for me the one-shoulder style is reserved for weekends and evenings only. I will say it’s more mom friendly than the off-the-shoulder option, there’s no risk of completely losing your shirt when picking up a squirmy babe!
This top is an effortless option for summer {and it’s the one I’m wearing in the photo above!} and so reasonable at only $14!
I just snagged this cute summer dress from the Anthropologie sale last weekend. I love the extra sleeve detail!
This cute gingham option would be perfect for date night.
I love the color and ruffle detail of this swimsuit from JCrew and it’s 25% off!
I’ve been really into the Tencel fabric that Old Navy and Gap are using this summer. This dress is a classic that you’ll want to wear for years!
Are you into the one shoulder trend? I’d love to hear!
PS here are a few more that I just couldn’t leave out:
