It seems like the longer we’ve been married the increasingly unromantic our Valentine’s day plans get but that’s ok with me. We actually have a very romantic Valentine’s day history that makes up for anything we may, or probably will not, do this year. On our first Valentine’s day together Ken told me he loved me and asked me to move in with him, by changing my address and giving me the official form as a gift {along with lots of storage shelves for all of my stuff}. And on our first Valentine’s day after we were married I told Ken I was pregnant by putting a pregnancy test in a heart shaped box of chocolates {that we did not eat}.
While we may not be planning anything elaborate I can never pass up a holiday fashion moment, especially when it involves hearts. You may remember one of my fashion resolutions for the year was to shop more vintage/second hand and I’m pleased to report I’ve been doing pretty good sticking to it. When I found this Gap shirt on ThredUp I added it to my cart immediately. This is why I thrift shop, people. It’s the thrill of the chase and when you find something as perfect as this you feel like you’ve won.
If you’re new to ThredUp they gave me an amazing discount code to share with you! You can use the codeĀ GAP50 for 50% off first time orders {up to $50}. Talk about winning!
More casual valentine tops:
I’d wear this outfit almost any day of the year but I’m looking forward to wearing it with my favorite people, in our favorite city, on a day that holds so much special meaning to our family.
Distressed denim I love:
Do you have plans for Valentine’s day? I’d love to hear!
