While I may be lacking in making actual resolutions for 2017 I have already done one thing to celebrate the fresh start that the new year brings. I got a haircut! Now to be fair I got my hair cut the week before Christmas but close enough and I haven’t really talked about it on the blog yet so here she is!
I’ve never been one to shy away from making changes to my hair, both cut and color, except while we were engaged/preparing for the wedding – then I wanted it to grow, grow, grow! But now that I’m an old, married, mom I don’t take my hair too seriously and just decide on a whim when I want to cut it or change up the color. Most recently I chopped a few inches off and went a bit darker to get closer to my natural color and I’m really happy with both changes. Plus it’s very easy to maintain which of course helps when I’m getting ready in the morning. I’m going to work on putting together a post on how I’m styling it these days, and also how I’ve been going about 5-6 days between washes. Stay tuned!
And while we’re here I thought I’d chat for a moment about one of my new favorite tops that’s actually a dress. I ordered it fully intending that it would be the dress that it is labeled as but instead it was pretty short {even on me, and I’m 5’4″ or 5’3″ if you ask Ken} but still very cute so I paired it with jeans and just love the print and the ruffle details. It looks a bit Liberty of London to me which is very fun. Have you ever paired a dress with jeans? While I’m not ready to make it one of my fashion resolutions I do think I’m going to try doing it more throughout the winter and early spring. Join me, friends!
