santa!

First of all, thank you so much for all of your sweet words on our very exciting news! We can’t wait to meet our newest family member in June!

Now, onto Santa! This little peanut was so nervous to see the big guy that she wouldn’t even smile for a photo beforehand {or during, you’ll see…}. She just played it very cool and serious, saving all of her nervous energy for later I suppose.

See? She wouldn’t even turn around. Her eyes were just plastered on that door.

We had talked a lot about Santa leading up to their first meeting. Would Mrs. Claus be there? What about Rudolph? Did she have to sit on his lap? When I asked her what she would say when Santa asked what she wanted for Christmas she told me a pink plant, so there’s that.

Her eyes kill me in this one. Needless to say, I did all of the talking. Mrs. Claus and Rudolph were not there and Santa didn’t really ask what she wanted to find under our tree on Christmas morning. We told him we’d leave him milk and cookies and carrots for the reindeer, took our candy cane and said goodbye.

Afterwards she perked right up and we were able to take the last horse & carriage ride of the day. She kept saying, “I’m just like Cinderella!”

Cinderella, indeed!

We even had time for a family selfie! Do you take your kids to see Santa? How do they react? I’d love to hear!
