Hello fellow parents of toddlers who are riding the struggle bus the day after daylight saving time! Just remember, we are all in this together {even though we are probably suffering separately}. After trying to get Annabelle to fall asleep tonight FOR AN HOUR I raised the white flag and called in reinforcements {Ken}. Now I’m sitting on the couch with a ridiculously large piece of chocolate cake and feeling pretty good about myself. This is parenting, friends. When there’s not wine, there’s cake.
Speaking of no wine, only 104 days left to go on that front but who’s counting? Me. I’m counting. I must say this outfit put a little spring in my 20 lbs. heavier step. Again who’s counting. Me. I. Am. Counting. Believe it or not this top is non-maternity. The tweed combined with the baby-doll cut was so fresh to me. I couldn’t wait to style it with a few of my favorite basics for spring.
Here’s a little update on my pregnancy this week.
How far along are you? 25 weeks, 1 day
So that makes your due date? June 24th!
How much weight have you gained? Since I didn’t gain any weight last week that obviously meant I was going to gain extra this week. Today I weighed 140 putting my total weight gain at 19 lbs. I’ll see you next week 20, just ask the chocolate cake I can’t stop eating.
Any cravings? I’m back on the raisin toast and butter train, can’t stop/won’t stop as they say. I also made the terrible decision of going to Trader Joe’s with a three year old who wanted to throw every sweet item into her cart {the cart was her size, it was too cute to say no!} so I ended up with a delicious chocolate cake, lemon squares, ice cream sandwiches, and more. Seeing as I’m the one who paid for it I suppose I take partial responsibility.
What about symptoms? Oh lord my aching back. I’ve had really bad tailbone pain so I broke down and went to a chiropractor who specializes in pregnancy last week. The first adjustment was a doozy and I could barely walk last Friday but since then I have started to feel better and after my adjustment today I’m hopeful that it’s going to help! I also find myself getting out of breath pretty easily when I’m walking quickly or going up stairs. So that makes me feel like a real champion.
Will you find out the gender? Nope! We didn’t find out with Annabelle and we’re excited to be surprised again. This baby is so low though, whatever that means {boy, I think}.
Do you have names picked out? I think so.
Are you wearing maternity clothes? Totally. There are a few non-maternity things that still work and I just ordered a few really cute non-maternity dresses on super sale from Old Navy. Please, please, please let this dress fit me!
Any purchases for the baby yet? No but I did forget to include this cute onesie in my post from last week. Gender neutral baby clothes are hard to find so when you see something as adorable as that you have to grab it!
