Ken and I are heading to Mexico in a few weeks for our first parents only vacation in nearly two years. That might not seem like a long time but I can assure you with two kids and a puppy at home I’m counting the seconds until my bootie is in that airplane seat! Since we’re in the thick of winter here and I was very newly postpartum with Jojo last summer I’m in desperate need of a new swimsuit or two. I’m still working on my mom bod and want to feel comfortable yet still a little sexy on the beach and have found myself struggling with where exactly to shop for swimwear for this stage in my life. That’s where you come in! Like always, my Instagram tribe has my preferably full coverage back so without further ado, where to shop for a mom friendly bathing suit as recommended by YOU!
These are in no particular order except alphabetical because I’m type-A like that.
Aerie. I’ve made a few activewear and loungewear purchases from Aerie but never swimwear! I love how inclusive they are featuring women of all sizes. This suit is full coverage but still super cute and I love the yellow! Plus it’s ribbed which is usually more flattering than a smooth fabric.
Albion Fit. These suits are a bit pricier but seem to have a cult following and I can see why! I absolutely love the color and pattern of this one. I also really love this rash gaurd, perfect for being outside in the sun all day with littles!
Amazon. I mean really, what don’t they have?
Anthropologie. I think of Anthro for a lot of things but not usually swimwear. This suit is actually on its way to my house today and one of my Instagram friends commented that she has it and in her opinion it’s the perfect mom suit. Fingers extra crossed that it works for me! I also love, love it in this print.
ASOS. I bought a maternity suit from ASOS last year and loved it. It ran small (or maybe my bump ran big?) but it was probably one of the cuter maternity swimsuits I came across. As far as non-pregnant mom suits go I really love this one, it’s from their fuller bust line, perfect for nursing moms!
Athleta. One of Gap’s sister brands, Athleta is (spoiler alert) an athletic wear store that carries some really cute suits! I thought this one was adorable, especially for a boy mom, and loved the sportiness of this one.
Cupshe. Women love Cupshe for it’s wide variety of affordable, trendy swimwear. I can’t personally speak to the coverage or fit of their suits but for under $30 a suit it’s definitely worth a try! You can also find them on Amazon. I’ve had my eye on this wrap style suit since I saw another blogger try it on last week.
Everything But Water. I’ve actually shopped with my mom for a suit here before and I know they have a super large variety and lots of options if you’re looking for something specific. I love the textured fabric and snap front on this one.
Figleaves. I had actually never even heard of this site but hello tummy control and adorable print! Also really in love with this one.
J. Crew. J. Crew has been my preferred swimwear for years but after trying on a few of my J. Crew suits recently they just don’t have the support I’m currently looking for.
Kortni Jeane. I have a Kortni Jeane two-piece and I tell everyone about them, especially if you’re looking for family matching swimwear! Their adorable high-waisted bottoms are my favorite.
Lily Pulitzer. I am admittedly not a huge Lily fan but this print could not be cuter and I thought it had a Mara Hoffman vibe (for much less)!
Macy’s. This recommendation was specifically for Ralph Lauren suits from Macy’s. I’m not really a tankini person but thought this one was super chic.
Mara Hoffman. I have lusted over Mara Hoffman swimwear for years but I’ve never been able to justify the price. If you can please buy this suit and wear it for me!
Naked Wardrobe. Another site I wasn’t familiar with until someone suggested it. How pretty (and affordable!) is this suit?
Robin Piccone. Hi friends, the next time you know of an adorable swimwear brand like this one please tell me sooner, ok? I’m not sure I can live without this suit in my life.
Shop Lidgett. A brand new swimwear shop designed for all women, they’re currently accepting pre-sale orders! You guys know how much I love citrus prints!
Summersalt. The cutest swim shop! The sidestroke style was specifically recommended and I’m going to be honest after reading the description it sounds darn near perfect!
Target. I bought a suit from Target after having Jojo last summer and if it still fit me I’d definitely be wearing it this year too! Does anyone want cute one-piece black suit in a size medium? Let me know!
Tommy Bahama. This came with a recommendation for the Pearl line of suits and after finding this one I can see why, it looks so flattering!
