Ever since Labor Day weekend when we happened to go to three festivals in three days Annabelle’s ongoing request is to go to a festival whenever she’s asked, “what should we do today?” Since festival season is basically over we’ve had to get a bit creative but last weekend we were able to find a cute little event happening at Fleur Detroit that was appropriately named Harvest Fest.
It was our first time at Fleur Detroit and their setup is beautiful! It’s a traditional flower shop but they also have a beautiful store and everything is just oozing with inspiration!
As you can see, Annabelle was having a terrible time.
I can’t say green is a color I wear very often but it paired so well with a lot of the blush and burgundy colors in my fall capsule. I love how easy this skirt is to pull on and it also matches perfectly with Annabelle’s sweater {that I wish came in my size!}. One of the keys I’ve found to coordinating outfits with your kids {or really anyone} is that if you shop at the same store {in this case, both of our green items came from Old Navy} you have a good chance of finding things in the same exact hue. Otherwise, a color could vary from store to store and you might end up clashing instead.

They were offering pumpkin painting for the little’s and I loved that they had white pumpkins and metallic {washable!} paints. It was an easy way to ensure beautiful results and really fit with the theme I’ve been using to decorate for the holidays.
I love how serious she gets when she’s doing a craft. She loves, loves painting!
