Perhaps it’s become somewhat obvious as of late but if there’s one thing I’m investing in this winter it’s coats. While I can blame many things on pregnancy brain my new found coat obsession is not one of them. There’s actually a strategy behind my purchases and I’m going to share it with you today.
Yes, it’s cold. Most of us {at least the ones that live in the top half of the country and above} get that loud and clear. So coats are a necessity but they’re also really timeless. I sat down and thought about the pieces in my closet that I’ve had for the longest amount of time. My coats and jackets were at the absolute top of that list and here’s why I love them outside of their main purpose of keeping me warm.
They can make a basic outfit like a cute sweater and jeans fun. Trendy. Fancy. Unique. Elevated. Are you following me here?
There’s almost nothing that I can’t throw this fuzzy pink beauty on top of and not feel instantly put together. It’s a statement piece {and probably a conversation piece, people love to chat fashion} that isn’t going to go out of style any time soon. I promise.
They’re also another thing I can wear in my normal size {mostly open, we do have some that refuse to close at this point} which means fun now, fun later, and fun for years to come.
Don’t tell spring, summer, and fall, but I can’t wait to open my closet next winter and find all of my coats waiting for me!
Is there a clothing item you’ve been particularly excited about lately? I’d love to hear!
Pinkblush sleeve tie maternity sweater c/o, ASOS maternity jeans {non-maternity here}, ZARA coat {similar here, here, and here}, H&M handbag, Target shoes {similar here}, J.Crew earrings {similar here}

You’ve featured some great coats in your post. I would also like to recommend planet clothing from my favourite online store EvelynAndArthur.com. They have beautiful fabrics and their fit is always perfect even though I am a size 16 🙂
Thanks so much for the tip, Beth! xo
