Shopping for vacation clothes is always fun. We try to take warm weather trips during times when Michigan’s weather isn’t exactly sunny so the process of shopping for things you can wear in a totally different climate is almost like a little vacation itself.
I love the vibe of this top from SheIn. It has a nice weight to it so it’s not going to blow up with a slight gust of wind and believe it or not I’m not even wearing a bra under it. Vacation Liz gets crazy!
Our hotel had the cutest sand pit right in the middle of the lobby. I kept thinking how much Annabelle would have loved it. At one point Ken even suggested we fill our screened in porch with sand which I considered for exactly 2 seconds before I had nightmarish visions of Annabelle and Juneau tracking sand directly into our family room.
These shorts are a new favorite. I rarely buy denim shorts but I loved the cut and distressing on these. They’re probably the only pair I’ll wear all summer.
Just before we left I found this necklace in Ken’s car when I was searching for a pair of sunglasses. I had only worn it a few times before I “lost” it and I’m so glad to have it back! On our trip a few people commented asking if my name was Annabelle and I would get so confused. I love having her sweet name so close to me, though. And it starts a conversation.
