my recipe for a seriously easy outfit

How many times have you opened your closet with the hope that an outfit would just jump out at you? Maybe it’s only me but there are definitely days where I want to wear something comfortable yet put together without much effort or thought at all. So I came up with a recipe for an effortless outfit.

1. A flowy dress that’s just detailed enough to be interesting on its own

Chambray is easily one of the most versatile fabrics around. This dress takes it up a notch with pretty floral embroidery that can be dressed up or down. As the weather gets cooler you can add a sweater or jacket, and tights, leggings, or even pants to make the look more seasonally appropriate. Because of the added details, accessories are totally optional and in my case, not required.

2. The perfect tote that you can throw anything and everything in to

I switch purses a lot. Between work, date nights, mom life, and everything in between I like being able to swap out my handbag accordingly. However nothing beats throwing a few essentials into a bag and walking out the door. This tote can be paired with almost any outfit and is sturdy and beautiful. Just because something is practical doesn’t mean it can’t be chic.

3. Booties that you can walk all day in but still look cool

I’m a bootie girl through and through {as opposed to my husband who is a booty guy…}. I always feel put together in a pair of booties and my favorite thing about this pair is definitely the color! I have found blush to be one of the easiest colors to pair with almost any look. Perhaps another style challenge in the works?

What are your ingredients for an easy outfit? I’d love to hear!
