wear your heart on your sleeve

Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays for various reasons at different points in my life. For most of my twenty’s I wished for a valentine, someone who would buy me roses, take me out to a fancy restaurant, and give me the perfect reason to buy a red dress. Then I met Ken and realized romance isn’t really about that stuff, it’s about so much more. In our almost 7 years together the picture perfect Valentine’s Day has never really happened but it’s been better than I’ve ever imagined because I ended up with the two best Valentine’s a gal could ask for.

This year I’ll be looking forward to a nice home cooked dinner {we usually make risotto, that’s a fancy meal, right?}, a glass of sparkling cider, and a cute but cozy outfit.

Regardless of your Valentine’s Day plans I have a feeling this sweater would be the perfect thing to wear. I love how the heart detail on the sleeve makes an oh so subtle statement and adds just a touch of fun to an otherwise basic sweater. It’s one you’ll wear long past Valentine’s Day and for years to come.

Do you have plans for Valentine’s Day? I’d love to hear!
