Well friends, we’ve made it just about 2/3 of the way through this pregnancy. And by we I mean me because let’s be honest, I’ve been doing all of the work over here. Ken and I got away for a little staycation this weekend {more to come on that later this week} and it felt great to get out and spend a little time alone. Just Kenny, me, and this bunch of bananas in my belly. If you’d like to hear what’s been up with the bump over the past few weeks, read on…
How far along are you? 27 weeks, 1 day
So that makes your due date? June 24th!
How much weight have you gained? I weigh 143 lbs. That’s a total gain of 22 lbs. which feels on track for where I’m at and where I’m expecting to be when this is all wrapped up.
Any cravings? I’ve really been enjoying food in general, which is fun. If I’m craving anything it’s been sweets. And unfortunately sandwiches and lunch meat which are mostly off limits to ladies of the pregnant variety.
What about symptoms? My lower back pain is getting so much better but it’s now moving up to my ribs. With the baby getting bigger I’m sure that was to be expected but it feels like I had very little relief between the two. I’ve also had some tired days here and there but overall my energy is good.
Will you find out the gender? Nope! We didn’t find out with Annabelle and we’re excited to be surprised again. Based on how low I’m carrying nearly everyone who likes to guess says boy.
Do you have names picked out? If the baby were to come today {please don’t, baby} we would have a name but that doesn’t mean we won’t change our minds.
Are you wearing maternity clothes? I am however I’m also still wearing quite a few non-maternity options {like this sweater}. I think I’m just becoming more and more creative in dressing the bump which has been fun!
Any purchases for the baby yet? Ya’ll WE BOUGHT THE SNOO. If you’re new here, the SNOO is a magical bassinet made of spun gold and unicorn tears that promises to have my baby sleeping through the night by 3 days old. Just kidding but it is supposed to be great and I can’t wait to get it next month.
