It seems fitting that my first post after having a baby is about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, right?! I promise I’m working on Jojo’s birth…
Happy Friday, sweet friends! Today I wanted to do a quick roundup of everything I purchased from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The sale ends this weekend which means prices will go up on Monday. If something is sold out in your size I recommend buying the closest size there is now and then exchanging it once things are restocked. I'd rather take advantage of the sale price now than pay full price later!

a little motivation
When the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale kicked off a few weeks ago I took advantage of some of the amazing deals on fitness wear and purchased some great pieces that will totally be wardrobe staples for years to come. Unfortunately a lot of my favorite Zella leggings {I got these and these} have already sold out but there are still tons of great pieces left {there's a roundup below!} and I found a great, inexpensive alternative to the Zella leggings on Amazon!

how to start wearing your fall clothes now
In an interesting {but certainly not unexpected in Michigan} turn of events after a particularly sweltering week last week this week is much cooler and almost fall like. It's as if mother nature has been monitoring my purchases and responding to the sweaters, booties, and jackets I've been buying. While I'm not ready for summer to be over it has been fun to start styling my new fall wardrobe in a way that works for the weather now.

a sunny outlook
This sweater is perfect for starting to transition your wardrobe to fall - which is a theme I'll touch on a lot in this weeks posts. I know we're not ready but it doesn't really make sense to keep buying things for summer when it's halfway over. Sorry to be the voice of reason but someone has to be sometimes. Oh and ps the sweater fits a bit over-sized but in a good way.

fashion friday: block heels
For a few years now I've struggled with the desire to wear heels but the realization that they're almost never practical or easy to walk in {especially when chasing around a very active toddler}. Thankfully, the fashion gods are always looking out for me and other ladies who appreciate a comfortable alternative. Block heels {or stacked heels as they're also called} give you the height and elegance you're looking for in a pump but the practicality of a wedge {which I don't wear, if you've noticed}.

gym & tonic
I'm a huge fan of dressing up a more casual item like a t-shirt. It creates interest and typically sparks conversation, and to be completely honest ups your cool factor by at least a few points. What mom doesn't want to be cooler?
