When Annabelle started at her new school last year and I was surrounded by more stay-at-home moms than ever before I would jokingly say to Ken, if I became a stay-at-home mom I would need a whole new wardrobe! Let’s just say athleisure is the mom uniform of choice in these parts and my wardrobe was seriously lacking. Fast forward to the spring and a global pandemic, and while I’m still not a stay-at-home mom I am very much a work-from-home mom who doesn’t really need to get as dressed up on a daily basis as I once did. While I’m hoping that someday soonish we’re able to return to the office I still needed to plug some serious holes in my comfortable {yet chic! always chic!} wardrobe. Of course I turned where I always turn when I need to solve a fashion dilemma. J.CREW.
While I was struggling with how to keep my family safe while transitioning to a full time working from home schedule all while not running out of toiler paper, J.Crew was struggling too. In May, J.Crew was the first of many retailers to declare bankruptcy amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This is what they shared with their customers:
What is important is that we are there for our customers and fully operational throughout this restructuring process. We will continue operating under the COVID response measures currently in place and look forward to reopening our stores in accordance with CDC guidance as quickly and safely as possible… We expect all customer programs, including our loyalty programs, gift cards, returns and exchanges, among others, will continue as usual.
I can say that it really has been business as usual, they have done a great job of keeping everything that’s going on completely behind the scenes. I even got to stop into a store last week for the first time in months and it was a wonderful experience, just like always.
Today I thought it would be fun to share a few things I’ve scooped up recently. J.Crew typically has good sales but lately they’ve been great. You’ll have to let me know in the comments if you made any fun J.Crew purchases during quarantine!
It’s also worth noting that while typically I would make a commission if you shop through my links, J.Crew suspended their affiliate program. I always only share things I love but this truly is out of the goodness of my fashion loving heart!
